Admiral Class Stream:
These ships canibalised the five
Revenge class
battleships of their four twin 15" turrets and 13" armoured belts, thus
requiring only the new armoured deck and running gear. A saving in time. The
Australis version was the Westralis class which built the 15" turrets from
scratch as they still had the jigs and plans from building the same turrets for
the Australis
Queen
Class ships.
Admiral Class (Nelson, Rodney, Howe, Anson, Hood) names available if those ships
did not make it into the Fisherless RN.
