HMS Incomparable was to be the ultimate 'Speed for Armour' battlecruiser from the mind of Admiral Jackie Fisher. The drawings I did for this series were to follow the Incomparable through its possible path of building and major refits that might have occurred through the ships lifetime. The main armament of 6x20" guns would have been the largest carried to sea if the ship(s) had been built. With a speed of 35 knots it would have been the fastest Capital ship ever built.
