HMLS King Andrianjaka Razakatsitakatrandriana (CL-1947)
Lemurian Navy Page

Having seen the results of the US Brooklyn Class cruisers shredding Japanese
destroyers, Lemuria wanted one too. (That's my excuse for another drawing!) In
real life the US actually went the other way going from the 15 gun Brooklyn's to
the 12 gun Cleveland. So lets have a play with the Analanjirofo design.
My first effort with the third turret aft does look well balanced. The major
difference between 12 and 15 gun designs are: 4.5" now only fire 6 gun
broadsides and lose two sets of 40mm to gain the extra triple 6"
The Raza Mk.2 has the same armament as the first try but with the fifth turret
forward. I do not like that version very much. It does not look right.
The King Raza would replace the Analanjirofo in 1957 as Flagship of the Eastern
Coastal Forces until its retirement and scrapping in 1976.
