Battlecruiser Comparison

I have built a series of battlecruisers for Khmer, starting with the 1914 Cobra,
and ending with the 1936 Taipan. I thought it might be interesting to look at
the ships one after the other to see the improvements made ship by ship. I did
not draw these in order so had to figure out what would be best in between each
class.
The Cobra was the earliest and though dated 1914, the twin 12' were first built
in 1902, and it was the first and last time the 5.5" were used on the
battlecruiser line.
The Python was a hybrid. Utilising the 7.6" guns removed from the Liu class,
mounted in triple turrets, these were real cruiser killers. Sheer volume of fire
was what they had. Not so good against true battleship gunned ships.
The Krait class were units three and four of the Python. Using the same hull,
the armament returned to a traditional 8x12" with a new model gun. Viper, was to
be of the same class, using repurposed twin 12" from the Liu class, this was
turned into the Khmer Navies first aircraft carrier.
The next Taksin class were another step up, going from 8x12" to 6x14". A slight
enlargement of the dimensions, weight and armour, made a very good looking ship.
The two later ships of the class featured 5.1" dual purpose weapons.
Last, and best of the Khmer battlecruiser line, the two Taipan class ships were
all battlecruisers should be. Big, fast and well armed.
I am happy with the way these progressed from class to class. I tried not to go
too big, too fast.
