Another day of miserable conditions. Temperature 9 degrees when we started and
reached 12 by the time we finished. What made it worse was the cold southerly
coming through at 20-25k carrying a bit of spit with it. Thankfully the spit
didn't last long. A day I envied the guys walking. At least they had a bit of
walking to keep them warm. Riding the buggy into the wind just adds to the chill
factor. Wearing two thick layers helps the warmth, but not the golf.

There is a mountain in there somewhere. Miserable conditions.
So this week I am blaming the conditions for my poor play. Have to blame
something, can't be me.
There is a saying, in golf, about there being a bit of shit on the end of your
club. You just have to work out which end of the club it is on after each shot.
On that Wednesday about 80% of it was at my end of the club!
The best thing I can say about the day was that I was a bit more comfortable
with my putter. I did not make a lot of long putts, but what I did do better was
to get my ball inside the imaginary half meter circle around the hole. Tap in
range. Didn't help my scoring much as I took too many extra shots to get onto
the green to putt better.
Tale of the tape this week was almost exactly the same as last week. I shot
another 92, for 27 points. The winner was on 43 points. I am almost a shot a
hole behind him. My position was 32/40, a few more people behind me this week.
Which just shows the conditions we played in.
I am still hoping the thought "Must do better!!" will kick in soon. Maybe a bit
of fine weather would help. Come on Dan from TV1, about time for Spring to
sprung.
The really low round, halfway through that graph is from 2026-04-01 - Must have
been an April Fools round. Beautiful 77 shot round. The rest goes to rubbish.
Worser and worser.
Today's round is almost a mirror of last week for 3 par's and a lot of not much
after that. None of the par holes were birdie tries. Chip or putt close from
long range.
