Cruising In Summer Conditions. (29/11/2025)
It must be Summer. We have just played the first round of Summer Cup. Not quite disgraced, 31st out of 40. Unless I do worse than 30 points in the next two rounds, this will be the one I 'lose' from my best 2 of 3.
The first nine was absolutely disgraceful with only 10 points. Two holes were no pointers, four with one point and three with two points. The back nine was much better with 20 points scored. It took me 13 holes before I got my first par of the round. I then had a bit of a purple patch where I started two and three point holes for the last six. I felt much better about myself after that nine. My better play on the back nine also got us to the winning post for the beer on the 15th. The high point of the day.
You will see from the photo below that our 'Maunga' (Mt Taranaki) has also had summer come early with most of the snow already disappeared.
