Buggy Debut - 08/09/2025

Monday was the day. The buggy's debut. I got to the Golf Club early. I was not certain how long it would take to get the buggy out of the car, assemble it, put the clubs and other gear on it, and take it for a test run. As it turned out I had time to play a couple of holes to get used to the throttle control down the fairways.

It was fun.

People started turning up, and I joined a group of four, and off we went. But not before we took a pic of yours truly, saddled up and ready to go. Thanks to Ian for the photo. I had forgotten my phone.

I must admit that I chose well, it is very easy to get around the course on the buggy. Getting on and off is easier than using the two person Club Carts. It allows me to concentrate more on actually playing my shots than the aches and pains I have gathered on my way around.

Now all I have to do is to start playing some decent golf and win a few bucks in the little tournaments we play to pay for it. I should think I might make the final installlment that way in about twenty years.

I have a few things to learn about playing from a buggy and also how to get it in and out of the car without damaging myself before I even get out on the course.

Life seems to be full of new experiences and it looks like I am about to learn a few more. This old dog has some life left in him yet.
