My first full round for a month since the Top Dog loss.

I must have needed the layoff. I came out of the gates like a champion. Par, bogey, birdie, par, par, par. After six holes I was even with the card. Wow. The seventh, I was just on my down swing for my second shot, when one of our group starts shouting something about his ball being in, my shoulders hunched, chunked the shot about 20 meters and glared at him. "Sorry". I wanted to tell him where to find his ball, but being the nice guy I am, I refrained. Bogeyed that hole, bogey on the 8th and double bogey on the 9th. Slightly gutted as I had been playing so well. Our pair were three up at the turn and it looked like the beer was in the can.

As I do at the moment, I got a bit tired on the back nine and the bogeys kept coming. My partner had a purple patch and between us we won the beer on the 14th. Highlight of my back nine was a very good par on the 18th. The sort of hole that will bring me back next time.

I was sort of aware of what might happen for the day, so I did not enter Oscars, which turned out to be a positive as my overall 21 points on the front 9 and 15 on the back nine for a total of 36 points would not have gotten me a prize. Invested it instead into a Lotto Triple Dip which won..... a bonus line.
