While the Germanic States had rejected the FW-187 in favour of the Me-110, overseas sales of the FW-187 far outstripped the Me-110. The vast reaches of the Argentinian lands and a hidden agenda for Las Malvinas led this design to be used by the Argentinians as a long range interceptor and escort fighter. The other bonus was that the Falcon used the same engines as the HE-112 and thus saved on spare parts inventory.
